April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month ! This is an important opportunity to raise awareness, celebrate resilience, and support individuals and families affected by limb loss and limb difference. After visiting the International Spy Museum, 6th grade WIN students abstracted their favorite spy gadget through a series of rotations, slides, or reflections. Funding for this art project and field trip were in part provided by the Worcester County Arts Council, Maryland State Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts. These are organizations dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive. Thank you for your support!

Sandra Day O'Connor was born on March 26, 1930, in El Paso, Texas. She spent her early childhood in Arizona on her family's ranch. Sandra was an American attorney, politician, and jurist. She was the first woman to lead a state senate, the first woman to serve on the United States Supreme Court, and the first woman to have her name attached to a law school.

At this month’s Student Apple Vanguard meeting, students practiced being present. They used this skill to create podcasts with a partner. They used GarageBand to record, add music, and edit. At the end of each meeting, students were given an official SAV sticker with the new logo! #3RsBIS
