Our Students Against Destructive Decisions students had an incredible time at the SADD Retreat, where they participated in fun, interactive activities focused on making healthy choices, building confidence, and learning how to make positive decisions! Our 5th grade students continue to enjoy a fantastic field trip to Shad Landing in Pocomoke for outdoor education, exploration, and teamwork!
From canoeing and fishing to visiting the animals at the education center, students have so many opportunities to connect with nature and learn outside the classroom. 🌿🐢🐟
One of the highlights was working cooperatively to build shelters in the woods, putting communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills to the test! 🪵🌲
With beautiful weather and plenty of smiles, today was a day filled with adventure, learning, and memories!

🌎✨ Our Multilingual Learners Are Setting Their Own Goals! ✨🌎 Our 5th and 6th graders became data detectives this week! 🔍 They studied their most recent WIDA ACCESS scores and set personal language goals for the year in: 👂 Listening 🗣️ Speaking 📖 Reading ✍️ Writing Why it matters: Think of learning English like a road trip 🚗. The WIDA score is the GPS: it shows where your child is right now and helps to make the route ahead. 🏠 Try this at home: Ask your child, “What’s your language goal this year?” Then cheer them on in any language you speak. Your home language is a superpower! 💪 #3RsBIS
