Ellen Ochoa is an American engineer, former astronaut and former director of the Johnson Space Center. She was born May 10, 1958. She became the first Latina woman to go to space when she served on a nine-day mission aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery.

This week at BIS we kicked off learning in our WIN Block. WIN is one of our favorite parts of the day because teachers plan personalized learning for students in reading and mathematics! We see Jr. Seahawks reading engaging texts, reviewing reading skills and solving challenging math problems! It's a great way to start the day. 💙🤍📖#3RsBIS
