We had a BIG week in Summer Academy at Snow Hill Elementary School!
On Tuesday, scholars had the opportunity to work with local artists and practice creative thinking through paint, music and more. Thank you to the Worcester County Arts Council and Mrs. Mills for providing us with the opportunity to create! 🎨🖌️🎶
Today, students participated in Bike Day and learned about bike safety in Physical Education class. Thank you to Backstreet Bikes, Inc. for providing extra bikes and servicing the ones brought in! This allowed every scholar the opportunity to learn. We appreciate your partnership and what you do for the community. Thank you to Mr. Mulinos as well for planning our bike course and teaching us how to be safe while riding! 🚲🛑
Rain or shine, our Summer Academy students are LEARNING!

Good afternoon!
Summer Academy families- if you have not picked up your scholar's bike, we will be here until 5:00 for pick up. Have a wonderful weekend!

On Thursday, Summer Academy students will be participating in Bike Day where they will learn about bike safety during Physical Education! Families are welcome to bring in bikes starting tomorrow for safekeeping. We look forward to this event!

Today Summer Academy students had a visit with University of Maryland Nutrition Educator, Mrs. Daw. They had fun learning how to be healthy during summer celebrations. Everyone helped to prepare a healthy dessert with local watermelon and blueberries along with a yummy fruit dip!
Remember, summer celebrations can be a great opportunity to encourage your students to try new foods! Thank you to our community partner, UMES.

This week, Summer Academy will be jam-packed with exciting lessons in reading, writing, math, health and creativity! We cannot wait to see you Monday-Thursday. 📚✏️🧠

We had a wonderful first week of Summer Academy! As a reminder, parent drop off is 8:15 - our teachers are in classrooms working on creating exciting activities before then! Please remember that this week is a short week due to the holiday. We will only have school Monday-Wednesday. Lastly, if you have not turned in your Kona Ice money ($10 for the summer), it is not too late. See you tomorrow! 🙂

Kona Ice will be at Snow Hill Elementary School tomorrow to celebrate an AMAZING first week of Summer Academy! Parents and students, don't forget to bring in your Kona Ice money - let's celebrate all of our hard work with some shaved ice treats. 🙂

Happy girl this morning at SHES
summer school!! This ballerina is ready for the day!!

This week is Mrs. Howards' last week at SHES. We are going to miss her, but wish her well as she returns to PES!
Mrs. Howard wants to thank the Snow Hill community for being so welcoming, kind and supportive over the past two years. She will miss each student and family and hopes it isn't "goodbye," but instead a "see you later!" 😊
Ms. James' will be starting officially on July 1st, but will be at SHES all week to begin Summer Academy. She can't wait to meet all of her new students and families. We can't wait to see the positive impact she will make at SHES!🤩

Mrs. Matassa's Kindergarten class enjoyed popsicles outside today for being the first class to return ALL their library books! Way to go!
